With our OSPW RS for Shimano Road groupsets, we are bringing OSPW into the future with a decidedly modern and angular design. The updated design brings balance and refinement to the OSPW system, allowing it to blend in perfectly with contemporary bike and groupset design trends that make up the OSPW system.

With an added level of customization (multiple logo and pulley options) combined with innovative new technology features, the OSPW RS meets consumer demand for personal expression and a premium riding experience. TIME TO CHANGE

Active Debris Removal (ADR)
ADR is a patent-pending technical feature based on a unique combination that makes it virtually impossible for debris to enter the bearing.

It consists of a new dust cover design that sits firmly anchored in a groove in the pulley, thus completely enclosing the bearing. This is combined with a blade-like groove structure surrounding the dust cover, which dynamically pulls debris away from the pulley as it rotates.

ADR was developed in a constant pendulum between our R&D department, the CeramicSpeed ​​test lab, and field testing conducted by a select group of our professional off-road teams.

ALPHA Disc
For our new OSPW RS, we offer versions featuring the ultra-durable ALPHA disc pulley first introduced with our OSPW X drivetrain for Eagle.

The ALPHA Disc features a two-piece construction. A separate narrow-wide tooth profile made from a composite material that provides long-lasting wear protection and noise reduction. Plus a solid aluminum disc that eliminates the potential for foreign objects to get caught between the pulley spokes, while adding strength and rigidity to the pulley design.

The first iterations of our solid disc pulley design were field-tested at Cyclocross World Cups a couple of years ago. During the 2022 CycloCross season, our sponsored Tormans team used the solid disc design extensively and provided valuable feedback on its ability to provide mud clearance in the worst conditions.
